Cool Bike Design by Phil Pauley 'Bullet Superbike'

Bikes are out kicking people and making hearts skip several beats with their beasty avatar. The assets, they come loaded with, are worth flaunting. Phil Pauley is out with a superbike named the Bullet, which is bound to give you goosebumps. The brawny bike has been crafted in a way that lends it all the mean features. Combining these looks with sumptuousness makes it all the more killing. Once seated on the Bullet it will feel as if you have grown wings. The speed it touches will make you talk with wind and give you an adrenaline rush. The superbike comes fixed with four wings and a tail fin at the rear. The back has also been wedged with a jet engine, which makes it snarl like a monster. Extended wings give it necessary thrust and literally lift the bike up in the air.

Easy maneuverability, even at high acceleration, will make speed lovers go crazy. The Bullet can cross a mark of 300 mph in terms of speediness. Wow! This sounds a bit dizzy. The façade looks like a mini silver-colored airplane ready to take the roads with surprise. If you want to look cool and make people burn with jealousy, then kick start the curvy Bullet and zoom with the rider in you. The motorbike is ready to thunder with all its worth and leave an everlasting impression.

Want to feel the thrill of a motorbike ride but with the safety of a car, then you have ample reasons to feel happy as designers have been regularly creating concept trikes such as the BMW i1 – an all-electric three-wheeled vehicle designed for German automobile giant BMW. Conceptualized by Amadou Ba Ndiaye, the BMW i1 promises energy-efficient commutes on three wheels. BMW i1 is a single seater, electric-powered vehicle with three motors giving power to wheels. Each wheel has an independent motor.

As the BMW i1 sports three wheels, so the issue of wheel tilt is important to be sorted out in order to maintain the safety of the passengers. The wheel tilt in this concept car is controlled by computer calibrated hydraulic system. The chassis of the stylish and sleek BMW i1 is made up of carbon fiber. It remains to be seen that when the car will hit the market but one thing is certain that whenever it will go on sale, it will find many takers among the car enthusiasts across the world. What to expect in the future from an eminent brand that James Bond drives? The answer is ‘pretty’ much present in the above image. Exquisitely conceptualized by Jack Allenet, this is the Aston Martin E-teuer. Adroitly futuristic in its demeanor, gracefully curvaceous in its ‘racing’ body and arduously elegant in its overall form; this electric car certainly has it all. Supposedly inspired by the British automaker’s achievements at the renowned Le Mans track; the designer wanted to infuse that sublime essence of speed and style, albeit with dollops of sustainability.

The striking visual element aside, the conception has also been envisaged to exhibit an exhilarating level of performance. Zealously propelled by a power output of 400kW and a convincing torque of 750nm, the vehicle can romp up to a blistering top speed of 300 km/hr. Moreover, being ‘fueled’ by the efficient and green KERS, the car could accelerate from 0-60 (0-100 km) in just under 3 seconds.

Coming to the lissome body, the energetic styling is influenced from a plethora of fascinating sports cars such as the Aston Martin DB9 and Vantage, and even racing conceptions like the Le Mans LMP1. The overall weight is just limited to 500kg, while the performance capability is boosted by E-tuer’s intrinsic aerodynamic form and efficacious suspension. The car also incorporates the notorious F-duct system, which helps in reducing aerodynamic drag with enhancement of substantial speed.

Finally coming to the innovative design feature, the maneuvering mechanism (in relation to the EV drive train) can be adjusted to cope up with different roads (and even climatic conditions). This inherent flexibility of the drive allows optimum user convenience regarding acceleration, top speed, traction control, active braking, and even engine mapping. So, all in all, the conception certainly manages to successfully fuse the progressive attributes of design, performance and style along with elements of low emission technology.

Future motorcycle design by Alex Kish

 Check out this Future motorcycle: 'A motorcycle with a 'green' electric drive and an iconic V-twin comportment. The aim and the inspiration has been made very clear from the start by the designer; influenced by the sturdy V-twin demeanor, he wanted to showcase a functional, zero emission electric side to it, to the much younger and eco conscious generation. And boy, has he been successful, as the lightweight 430 lbs drivetrain will be powered by a 12 KW DC motor, while the highly durable Li-ion battery pack will feature a stable composition of Lithium iron phosphate.

Coming to the other design attributes, the bike will feature airless tires with the advantages of being puncture-proof and offering of better controls. The front wheel shock absorber will be conspicuously placed along the conventional fuel tank area, for efficient space management within the mechanism, while the front suspension will utilize a Telelever fork for enhanced stiffness to the bike head part. This in effect will make the ride easier and most importantly safer to steer.

The charging plug connection mounted on the motor controller side above the battery pack, will adroitly replicate the form of an old fashioned gas cap, just to get the ambiance of the old school. Moreover, an advanced oil cooling mechanism will be incorporated for better motor efficiency.

So finally at the end of the day, only time could say if this fastidiously fascinating conception will make its ‘green’ mark on some future motorcycle enthusiast’s wet dream, but we are surely going to keep our fingers crossed for that to happen.

Ferrari Xezri by Samir Sadikhov

Ferrari Xezri Concept Car by Samir Sadikhov: Cars with latest modern designs lure today’s car enthusiasts. The premier car makers are in competition with each other to bring fresh and new ideas which are then incorporated while designing the cars. That’s why world’s top car making giants are looking for talents who can come up with innovative and fresh ideas. Ferrari, a car manufacturer, has introduced three new talented car designers to the world who have finished three year post-diploma course in transportation design in the academic year 2010-2011 from Design School of Turin IED. The final year projects which were done by these talented students were reviewed by Ferrari minutely before rewarding them for their works. Samir Sadikov, a resident of Azerbaijan, who has designed Ferrari Xezri on the principles of “Flexible aerodynamics” won the second prize.

This newly designed sports car has been built keeping the flow and dynamics of wind in mind. The specialty of this design is that the rear wing of the car which is placed horizontally on the roof activates automatically and absorbs wind from outside to cool the engine when the car achieves a super speed of 200km/hr and higher.

This prize is the second win for Turin IED which has previously won first position in the same contest in 2005. Seeing the car which is designed after principles of flexible aerodynamics by Samir, zipping through the deserted flyovers with ease like red fire in great speed, the CEOs of Ferrari Amedeo Felisa, Paolo Pininfarina and Flavia Manzoni are all praise for it. They even say that the design of this new car reminds them of designs of some old Ferrari.

This new car design along with two other award winning projects i.e. 540 Pegaso and Ethesian by fellow students Giuseppe Ceccio, Giacomo Pierine Matteo politano and Alessandro Nardolillo will be displayed at an exhibiton at their school’s headquarters until the end of September.

Car Design | Ferarri Eternita

Ferrari launched a contest in which it was seeking car designs that would have optimum fuel efficiency as well as performance. The winning entry was by a group of South Korean students from Hongik University, Seoul, that came out with the concept of a hydrogen hybrid vehicle called ‘Ferrari Eternita’.

The three designers – Kim Cheon Ju, Lee Sahnseok and Ahn Dre created a formidable design that topped amongst the 400 entries to the competition. This futuristic car is low-lying and almost touches the ground with its rear wheels incorporated into the main body of the car in order to lessen drag. The Eternita is powered by a sustainable hydrogen-hybrid engine that would make this swanky sports car a low emission vehicle!

Earlier, Porsche also came out with its hybrid car models and Ferrari also seems to be keen to create a sustainable vehicle that is eco friendly in nature. Eternita is not yet slated to be rolled out next by Ferrari – however, the stylish design and name of the car surely sound “Ferrari-isque”! However, car enthusiasts would surely await this one should Ferrari decide to go ‘green’ and initiate production of the clean Eternita.

14. 2015 Honda CB750 Concept

This blocky bike feels like a vision of the future as imagined by a video game designer from the mid 90s. The carbon fiber, aluminum and titanium frame gives the 2015 Honda CB750 enough strength to carry heavy riders. It’s powered by a four cylinder liquid hydrogen engine and features on board computers controlled by an OLED touch screen. It also features radar technology that will slow the bike automatically if it detects an oncoming collision… a feature which you can of course disable if you like to live dangerously.

Anyone else on the road will only have a small glimpse of you as you fly by them at top speed and wonder if maybe they’ve seen a ghost. Well, in a way, the sort of did. The folks over at Gizmodo kindly pointed out that the “Speed Racer” motorcycle concept by Dan Bailey looks like something that came out of the Aliens movies, and we have to agree. Based around the Kawasaki Ninja the bike has some solid foundations, but was designed to look intimidating yet sleek. There’s no word as to whether or not it will see production, but considering how bad ass it looks we hope it does. Source

The Magic Tricycle sounds like something your four year old daughter might drive in the back yard, but it’s actually an amazingly clever transforming motorcycle. When you’d rather be in a car, say on the highway for instance, it lies on its side and uses 3 wheels as sort of a car. But when you just want pure speed its stands upright with the third wheel on top, which supposedly helps keep it balanced. Source

The nUCLEUS takes everything you think you know about motorcycle design and turns it on its side. Truly unlike any other bike design out there NONOBJECT designed this bike to stand on its own in terms of design rather than take inspiration from every other bike concept out there. When not in use the motorcycle looks like a weird box, but when in motion the wheels extend and the saddle rises, showing off its function.Source

9. Ferrari V4 Motorcycle Concept

If Ferrari made a motorcycle to match the car this would be it. Industrial designer Amir Glinik took the sexy curves and sleek lines that make Ferrari so fiercely desirable and put them in bike form. The design takes the best aspects of vintage and modern Ferrari projects based on aesthetics and performance to create the perfect Ferrari Bike. For instance the Ferrari V4 Motorcycle Concept features hand controls adapted from a F-16 Fighter Jet and buttons based on the Formula 1 racers. Source

8. ENERGYA MotorCycle

Since we discovered that technically anything with 3 wheels or less qualifies as a motorcycle then technically the ENERGYA Motorcycle fits the bill. With two wheels in the front and two full seats it almost looks like a racecar, but it only has one rear wheel. The designer Higgins-Aubé actually calls it a “motomobile” since it’s sort of a car/motorcycle hybrid.Source

7. Dodge Tomahawk Motorcycle

The Dodge Tomahawk Motorcycle may be the only motorcycle listed here that technically isn’t actually a motorcycle. Based on a Viper V-10 bike, it’s got a beefy 500 horsepower engine and 4 wheels. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration anything with more than 3 wheels on the ground doesn’t qualify as a motorcycle. That probably has something to do with why this beast of a bike never made it into mass production. Shame because this awesome machine is basically just an engine and some wheels that provide raw speed and power between your legs. Source

6. Scarab Motorcycle

While the Scarab sounds like a bike you’d likely drive around in the desert it’s actually designed with urban situations in mind. The bike can adapt to sit completely upright while parked so it takes up as little space as possible in a crowded city parking lot. In fact you and 3 of your friends using scarabs can fit your motorcycles in a standard sized space for a car. Designer David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves envisions the Scarab to be used as a rental vehicle as a convenient and eco-friendly transpiration solution. Source

This isn’t one of those concept bikes with a name like Jaguar that’s meant to represent it’s speed. Its name is pretty literal in this case. The Jaguar concept by M-Cycles draws inspiration from the Jaguar car manufacturer logo. The bike measures 8 feet in length and features ebony lacquered fiberglass over stainless steel.Source

Any concept bike you’ve ever thought of as sleek has nothing on the Swordfish. The Swordfish Motorcycle concept by Alexander Kotlyarevsky sports an aggressive futuristic design and hubless wheels. If we had access to all the possible concept designs for Batman’s motorcycle the Icare Bike Concept would certainly be on the list. We could just imagine the Dark Knight leaning into a tight turn on this sleek black bike. Icare isn’t just a cool concept, but a real working design. It’s powered by a six-cylinder 1.8 liter Honda engine with dual exhaust. Right now it’s still up in the air whether or not it will go into production, but keep you fingers crossed. Source

Motorcycle manufacturer Arlen Ness crafted this metal monster powered by a gas-turbine helicopter engine. The aluminum outer shell with noticeably large rivets gives it a sort of steam punk edge that you just won’t get from carbon fiber and plastic. The body has been shaped entirely by hand, which lends to why it’s not being mass produced.

'BugE' Electric Three-Wheeled Vehicle Design By Mark Murphy

Electric cars keep the air and their act clean, though can be a bit heavy on your pockets. And not too many people prefer riding electric bikes and scooters and being exposed to the elements. So, here’s a great way to travel green, without burning an enormous hole in your pocket, the BugE. This contraption works on electricity, has three wheels, will protect you from the elements, and costs less than six thousand dollars.

Oh, and you’ll have to build it yourself too! Invented by Mark Murphy, of Creswell, Oregon, the BugE works great on city streets and keeps up with all the seasons, while the commuter sits snug inside. Weighing around 350 lbs (159 kg), this one uses a 17 bhp DC series motor powered by four M34 lead acid batteries with an eight hour charging time.

With a range of about 30 miles (48 km) at 30 mph (48 kph) and a top speed of 50 mph (80 kph), the BugE sure seems to be a great way to travel green!

Cool City And Sport Bike Concept - Ducati Spite

This bike comes in red, white, or black, like any good motorcycle should. Its description is presented to us as a mostly poetic sort of situation, naming “Style&Skills” as a main point, noting soft lines around a technological core, saying that this motorcycle concept, the Ducati Spite, has two souls. One of the souls is extreme simplicity, they say, and the other, a full detailed concept. Like the black and white of the wheels.

There’s several ways you can ride the Spite, a couple of them being City and Sport, both of these thanks to its variable suspension.
