London : Jeans are not a taboo anymore for formal events, and are increasingly considered to be the most preferred choice by women for almost all occasions.
According to a survey, more than two-thirds of women would wear jeans to a wedding and even feel that denims are apt dress for various events - apart from job interviews and funerals, reports Scotsman.
The survey also revealed that a total of 69 per cent would wear designer jeans to a formal wedding. Jeans also got a thumbs-up for trips to the theatre by 88 per cent of respondents, while more than three-quarters would wear them to an upmarket restaurant.
Sally Allen, of Wizard Jeans, said that jeans had evolved over the past 50 years from casual and workwear clothing to wear for “virtually all occasions”.
